1. What Is the Open Doors Scholarship?
The Open Doors Russian Scholarship Project is an international competition organized by the Global Universities Association in collaboration with participating Russian universities. Successful candidates can access tuition-free study opportunities or, for postdoctoral researchers, research opportunities in Russia.
The competition is designed for talented international students and researchers who want to advance their education and academic careers.
2. Scholarship Benefits
Successful applicants can benefit from:
- Full tuition coverage: Winners in the eligible degree tracks can study tuition-free under the Russian Government quota.
- Multiple study levels: Opportunities are available for Bachelor's, Master's, PhD, and Postdoctoral applicants.
- Online competition: Participate in the selection process without travelling abroad for the competition.
- English or Russian: The competition is conducted in both languages, although the language of instruction depends on the chosen program.
- Research opportunities: Doctoral candidates may interview with prospective supervisors, while postdoctoral candidates can compete for research positions.
- Russian language preparation: Eligible students entering Russian-taught programs may have access to a preparatory Russian-language course, subject to the applicable arrangements.
